ONLINE TASK FORCE
ONLINE TASK FORCE:
District 2 Digital Transformation 2020
WE UPDATE THIS DAILY -- PLEASE CHECK BACK OFTEN!
In order to assist clubs to quickly move into the digital realm, District 2 conceived a Digital Transformation Task Force on March 5, 2020. These dedicated volunteers have experience in holding meetings and contests online. They are available to support you in getting started with organizing your club meetings online, Area and Division Contests, upon request. Note: if you're not from District 2 and need support, please have your District Trio or Division Director reach out to Roxy Stimpson, District 2 Program Quality Director. THANK YOU!
Online Club Meetings & Online Area/Division Contests resources are available below and will be updated frequently.
These cover a wide range of topics from meeting preparation to tools for conducting online meetings, contest dry-runs, and lessons learned from organizing online contests.
Some of the most important aspects to consider:
- Run the meeting as you would a normal Toastmasters Meeting
- Invite people early and with multiple emails
- Use headphones or earbuds if possible
- Try to have everyone on video
- Allow members and guests to linger after the official meeting like you would in person
